The journey began in 1979, when the company was acquired by the Bernardi brothers. The company’s strategy was immediately changed, moving away from retail sales and shifting into the catering sector. This was followed by a reorganization phase: the business transitioned from door-to-door selling to a model based on sales representatives who operated in the area, collected customer orders, and then coordinated delivery service.

From 1985 onwards, the company reached self-sufficiency; business grew exponentially, and it became essential to organize operations with further development in mind.

In the spring of 1989, the new facility was inaugurated and was later expanded again in 1998.

The period from 2001 to 2011 can be described as a time of consolidation and modern work organization, with a strong focus on staff training to ensure team members are prepared, motivated, and able to work together to provide customers with a high level of service. Over time, the product range was progressively expanded with numerous new items, giving customers a wide choice.

This marked the beginning of a phase that led to new and important decisions, aimed at addressing the challenges of today’s socio-economic environment and the opportunities brought by rapid technological progress, while never losing sight of the strong values that have guided the company for more than 35 years.

On October 14, 2019, the company celebrated its 40th anniversary. On a memorable day for everyone involved, the foundations were laid for future challenges. Challenges that did indeed arise, but thanks to strong determination and a very solid corporate structure, Iceberg successfully overcame the critical period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought the Ho.Re.Ca. sector to a standstill. Even today, the company continues to face unexpected events in an increasingly complex and ever-changing global scenario. In 2020, Iceberg also lost Mr. Luciano Bernardi (the second of the Bernardi brothers), but thanks to the leadership of the current management team, the company continues confidently on its growth path, carrying forward the project that began back in 1979.
